About Licensed Practical Nurse:
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):
is a state-licensed healthcare professional who provides basic nursing care to patients such as monitoring vitals, dressing wounds, and administering medication etc. under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician. LPNs are direct link between a patient, their family and their doctor and other providers.
LPNs typically work in clinics, hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, and home healthcare etc. Common responsibilities of an LPN include:
• Providing wound care and dressing changes
• Assisting patients with daily activities and mobility
• Collecting patient information and reporting changes in condition
• Monitoring and recording vital signs
• Administering medications and injections (as permitted)
• Supporting physicians and RNs during treatments and procedures
